The Sheth Foundation Scholarship (Registration fee waiver opportunities)
We are pleased to announce that the Sheth foundation has given us a grant to waive registration fees for six young African scholars for this conference.
To qualify for the scholarship:
The applicant must be a PhD candidate based in Africa or early African Scholar in their first six years after getting their doctorate, be an IAABD member by the time they apply for the waiver.
Applications must include:
Justification for the scholarship,
A CV of the applicant and,
A supporting recommendation letter from the applicant’s institution confirming their status.

The 2016 Young African Scholar Award
Call for Applications and Nominations
The International Academy of African Business and Development (IAABD) seeks applicants or nominations for the first Annual Young African Scholar Award. The award honors the memory of Professor Joseph Aiyeku, IAABD founding VP for his tremendous contribution to the mission of the Academy.
Applicants or nominees must have a doctorate, be early career scholars in their first six years after the doctorate, and demonstrate commitment to IAABD and an outstanding potential for academic research that contributes to African business development.
The award will be presented during the 2017 IAABD conference in Atlanta, USA. The award carries a cash prize of $350 for the winner and $150 for the runner-up.
Applications or nominations must include: (1) a motivation or nomination letter, (2) a CV of the applicant or nominee, and (3) two supporting recommendation letters from senior faculty members, one of whom must be an IAABD member.
